EVA foam is a lightweight, flexible material suitable for thermoforming. When heated with a heat gun, it can be shaped so that the foam retains its shape after cooling. It is very easy to work with and always remains flexible. It has a smooth and aesthetic surface, which is easy to clean thanks to its closed-cell structure. It can be easily cut with a knife and is suitable for laser cutting.
It is a material with many possible uses. It is used in decoration, water sports, boats, the production of advertising gadgets, the automotive industry, as insulation, lightweight soundproofing, and in many other industries.
It is primarily the basic choice when it comes to material for making props and Cosplay costumes. It forms well and retains its shape. It can be used both for finishing details and for making larger elements, such as an entire breastplate.
For more demanding applications, we recommend foam with higher density, which is characterized by greater stiffness and hardness, which translates into, among other things, better shaping capabilities and more precise processing, e.g., by grinding.
It is resistant to water and weather conditions and has high buoyancy, which makes it suitable for the production of elements used in water.
